Recipe of the Week: Ginger Bulla Cake

4 cups flour                                            ¼ cup water
1 teaspoon baking powder                     1 cup dark sugar
½ teaspoon baking soda                         4 oz. butter, melted
¼ teaspoon salt                                      2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder                1 tablespoon molasses
½ teaspoon nutmeg, grated                    3 tablespoon ginger, grated
½ teaspoon cloves, ground


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheet. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. In a jar mix water, sugar, melted butter, ginger, vanilla and molasses. Combine dry mixture and liquid to form a dough. Dust rolling pin and board with flour. Flatten the dough to about 1⁄8 `.Shape with a 3' cookie cutter or size of a doughnut. Place on baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes. Cool and serve with your favorite cheddar cheese or Jamaican pear (avocado).

  1. Bulls and pear makes such a delicious meal or snack. noticed pear (avocado) has just become a fad here. we a nyam pear from wi eye a wi knee
