Recipe Of the Week: Green Plantain Porridge

Green Plantain

Ingredients
2 large green plantains                               3 cinnamon leaves
2 tablespoon flour                                      1 teaspoon vanilla
½ tin sweetened condensed milk               2 to 3 pinches of salt
¼ cup water                                               2 to 3 pinches of nutmeg
2 to 3 pinches cinnamon powder



Direction
Peel and grate plantains. 
Fill medium pot with water, add salt and cinnamon leaves and bring to a boil.
Mix flour with ¼ cup water. 
Add plantain to boiling water and cook for 5 minutes.
Add flour mixture and stir. Reduce heat and cook for 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from heat. Add condensed milk, nutmeg, and
vanilla. 
Sprinkle cinnamon power and serve immediately.
