Jamaican Songstress Tessanne Moving On Up: Top 8

Tessanne Chin delivered another flawless stand out performance of Gladys Knight’s “If I Were Your Woman"  Monday night on NBC The Voice singing competition.

Coach Adam was pleased stating, "this solidify your presence as a major contender" reminding her of her apprehension during rehearsal and why the choice of song and the lyric was the right choice to convey the meaning, especially with her voice.

Enchanted with her Jamaican accent another judge Christine Aguilara commented “I heard your Jamaican accent came out for the first time in a song and I loved it,”  She also stated that  Tessanne's voice can do so much more and wants to hear more dimensions from her.

Usain Bolt, recently crowned IAAF World Male Athlete of the Year surprised Tessanne showing up at the live show. He told Carson Daley, host of the show “I am here because Tessanne is Jamaican”

After a nerve wrecking Elimination Show - waiting with bated breath tonight the Jamaican songstress advances to Top 8 one step closer to the crown already a winner in the eyes of Jamaican. She has put the Island once again in international spotlight and Jamaica and the Caribbean are reveling in it. I can hear those pot covers!
